The Twins are 1 MONTH OLD!!

Where has the last month gone?? Connor and Claire are one month old! WOW! They had their check up and Connor weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces. He was 21 inches long and in the 25%tile. Claire weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long and in the 25%tile too. This explains the fact they are eating us out of the house already! I thought I had until they were teenagers. Laney had her 3 year check up too. Yes, 3 kids at the doctor's...we survived! Laney was in the 90th%tile as she always has been! I'm sure the twins are working on catching up with her!
So big!
Miss Claire is laid back and silly!
Connor, so far, is Mr. High Maintenance. He likes to be held, lay on his tummy and keep his Mom and Dad from getting sleep at night.
Connor playing under his play mat.
Big Sister Laney feeding her brother. She really likes to help out and luckily has not been jealous of the twins. She's been a little emotional and needy but absolutely LOVES her brother and sister! We are so blessed!

First Dentist Visit!!!

Laney had her first visit to the dentist this week. Here she is with her glasses on ready to be cleaned and counted!I was SO proud of Laney. She sat so nice, opened her mouth nice and wide and wasn't scared one bit. Maybe she takes after Mom and LOVES getting her teeth cleaned! That would be much easier to deal with that a kicking, screaming kid who doesn't like the dentist.
Big clean smile! All done!

As always she is excited to get home and cuddle with her brother and sister!

Some more of th beautiful pictures that my friend, Mandy Hall, took. She is a very talented photographer. I'm lucky we've been friends since elementary school and that she is always willing to take some shots of my kids!I put this one in again....I just love how Connor is holding onto the little pea pod. So cute.

Babies

Connor David and Claire Este arrived February 9 at 9:02 and 9:04 PM. Here are some pictures...

Here they are in the OR room being checked out. Daddy and Aunt Gigi were both in the OR for their arrival. They were in charge of photography! Claire needed some oxygen at first. They were kept in the NICU for the first night and came to my room for good at 8 AM the next day.
Big Sister Laney is so very excited to have a brother and sister. She prefers her sister over "that" as she has called Connor!
Connor and Claire in just after we came home from the hospital. They like to cuddle up together for their time in the sun.
The little heartbreaker and the sweetheart in their Valentine's outfits! Happy Heart Day!
Great Grandma holding Claire.
Grandpa holding Connor.
Auntie Mandy holding the twins.
As soon as Laney gets home for daycare she wants to hold Claire. She sat like this through 2 Strawberry Shortcake episodes the other day. She adores her little sister (& brother!)

Lou Lou gets to hold both of them for a Valentine's picture. It is a little difficult to get 3 kids 3 and under to take a good picture!
My friend Mandy Hall came out to see the babies and since she is a great photographer also brought props and her camera. We opened the kitchen windows and set up a little studio for some pictures. Here is Miss Claire. She is so laid back and easy going.

Connor

Snuggled up together. They love to snuggle with each other. Sometimes they won't calm down until you put them together. So sweet!
Miss Claire in pink!
The funny part about this picture is Claire kept kicking Connor in the privates! He would scream and we'd have to readjust!

Surviving...

Well, on the lovely bed rest now for 2 weeks. I made it to 34 weeks exactly, but my bp continued to be high so no more school until the babies come. Here is my view every Monday and Thursday at my NST (non stress test). On Wednesdays are my actual doctor's appointments. I have now made it to 36 weeks and 5 days. These little ones can come any time now. At the last measurement (32 weeks) they were measuring 2 weeks ahead of a singleton so I think they are more than ready to come. Now, to convince my doctor of that!

Template change? CATCHING UP....

Ok, so it has been FOREVER since updating Laney's blog. Since I am now on bed rest at 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant I figured I had time to update her blog and add the babies to it. Well, I've spent the past hour trying to figure out how to add my own cute background without the big ugly white stripe. Well, it isn't working so I'll accept it and move on.

Ok, this will be my attempt to catch up on happenings since June! First, here are the babies set to arrive in February. They have been heads together like this the entire pregnancy. Baby B is the one on the top (the girl) and Baby A (the boy) is the one on the bottom. They always look like they are talking to each other. We feel so fortunate to have had our 3rd IUI be successful and be adding these little ones to our family.
Miss Laney LOVES to paint, color, draw. She is growing up SOOO fast! I can't believe all the things that come out of her mouth!
Vala's Pumpkin Patch visit. Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch = Laney Lou!

Oh...forgot a Thanksgiving picture. She had a cute shirt too! Here is Laney setting out her cookies for Santa.
AND...on to our newest challenge. DRESS UP! Most of what Laney got for Christmas had to do with playing dress up. Laney changes clothes non stop all day if allowed. She got at least 5 different princess dresses plus other accessories and outfits. She (thankfully) also got a toy box to pack all the stuff away in. I'm trying to give her choices to pick her clothes in the morning because it has turned into a fight. She would rather wear a get up like this....
Fast forward to birthday. OH MY! Laney is 3. She had a Minnie Mouse birthday party with ALL the family over. I had a Minnie Mouse shirt made for her with her name on it. She also wore a Minnie tutu that Aunt Gigi got her at Disney World. I have to say it was very cute and was dressing up so Laney was in heaven!
Laney and her man, Alex. She adores her cousins. Alex is more excited for the arrival of a boy cousin so he isn't so out numbered by all the girls!

Whew...been a LONG time...

So, my mom has to take over my blog...I just have way too much to do! The big news of 2010 is that Laney is going to be a big sister...finally! In July found out we are expecting twins sometime in February.
Laney loves her big sister shirt!
