8 weeks old!

Today I am 8 weeks old. Check out how big I am!

I'm still a little crabby 'cause I dont' feel too good. My dad and I have been getting along pretty good this week. I can't wait, in 2 days it is my baptism. My entire family is going to be here. The sad part is my cousin Amaya has to go back to Chicago on Saturday. I'll post a picture of me in my pretty baptism gown on Saturday.

Crabby!

Crabby! That is what I am! My mom and dad took me to the doctor yesterday because I've been so crabby! They say I have a tummy flu. I'm sure glad it wasn't an ear infection. It is no fun. My mom went back to work on Monday. My daddy is staying home with me. We get to spend the next 2 weeks together! I hope he cuddles as good as my mom does! He has even been getting up with me in the night!

Easter.... my first Easter was pretty fun! When I woke and my mommy took me downstairs the Easter Bunny had been here. Look what he left me...

I went to church with my mom and dad, Grandma and Grandpa Vogel, Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Jeff, Abbey, Maddey & Alex. I got to wear my pretty Easter dress and furry bunny coat.
Well, that's about all for now! I'll let you know how my week with my dad goes. My baptism is Saturday so I get to see my entire family...aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas and grandpas!

Hippity Hoppity!

Easter is almost here! I got to meet my cousin Amaya yesterday. She lives so far away. I was very tired and slept most of the time, but I get to see her all week. Here is a picture of us.
I get to see my other cousins all the time. Mom and I walked over there in the nice weather a couple days ago.
Sorry, I don't know how to turn this picture (and mom won't help me!) My cousins, Maddey and Abbey wore green with me for St. Patrick's Day. Aren't we cute?
My cousin, Alex, loves me! He says I'm cute, but he still wishes I was a boy. Look at Alex's eye. He fell last week and had to get 2 stitches! Ouch! He's such a silly boy. He says, "I wove Waney." I think he means, "I love Laney" (that's me!) I can't wait to tell you if the Easter Bunny comes to my house. I'm not sure what he is all about, but my mommy got me a cute outfit to wear to church and my Aunt Jennifer got me a really soft bunny coat. What should my lucky number be for my mom and dad when they go to the horse races today? Well, my Grandma and Grandpa Vogel are coming today and I want to go see Aunt Courtney and Uncle Brady before they get here.

7 weeks old!

Hi! My name is Delaney Ann Chmelka. My mom says you can call me Laney. I have made it through the first 7 weeks of my life! I'm such a good girl, just ask my Daddy. Mommy and Daddy say they love their new role as parents. I have started to coo and smile when I see people (sometimes it is just gas, but don't tell!). My daddy sure likes to get in my face and love me up. He tells me he never runs out of kisses for me. For 7 weeks my mom has let me eat and sleep whenever I feel like it, but now she is trying to get me on a schedule. Today I let her put me down for a morning nap! We'll see if I like this schedule stuff she is talking about. Mommy has to go back to work on Monday, but my Daddy is going to stay home with me. I sure hope Grandma is home because I may need her to help out Dad! Well, today I'm going to meet my cousin Amaya from Chicago. I'll let you know all about her.
